A rarity made of finest baby alpaca wool.
Downy. Lightweight. Greatindoors and under jackets. By Clark Ross, the alpaca specialist.
Beautifully patterned Norwegian pullovers are usually made from thick wool – very rustic, way too warm in heated rooms, and too bulky under jackets and coats. Not this one though. The unusually fine knit is made of exceptionally delicate wool worked on very thin knitting needles.
Baby alpaca is one of the most precious fibres in the world.
The fine undercoat comes from the first shearing of the young alpaca and is accurately sorted by hand: Only fibres with a diameter of less than 19.5 microns and a length of 64 - 68mm (2.5"-2.67") meet the strict quality criteria.
As soft as cashmere, but nonetheless hardwearing.
Baby alpaca is amazingly resilient; it resists abrasion and pilling, and hardly absorbs odours. The fibres are naturally elastic, so your Norwegian pullover keeps its shape. And it is considerably lighter than most of its kind (approx. 275g/9.7 oz in size 38).
Subdued, versatile colours.
The combination of light grey, wool white and cognac brown is more elegant, refined and less showy than many other sporty versions in bright colours. Thanks to its inset sleeves, it can even be worn under a sports jacket.
Classic style. Length in size 38: 65cm (25.67"). 100% alpaca. Hand wash only. Designed in Norway, knitted in South America.
