Felt slippers: The rare original from Kyrgyzstan.
Authentic design – without edges or seams. Rare production by hand per old tradition.
In no other country, felt cloths have a tradition as proud as in Kyrgyzstan. For thousands of years already, the nomads have isolated (and decorated) their yurts with the thick, warming wool material. And since 2012, the Kyrgyz felt carpets Ala-kiyiz and Shyrdak even belong to the UNESCO world heritage.
Seamlessly felted round from one piece. And shaped into a great fit.
No comparison to industrial mass production: These slippers are made entirely by hand in a small workshop. Anatomically formed from a single piece of virgin wool felt, they are made without any disruptive seams and cut edges.
The striking design is a mystical symbol for Tengrism.
The followers of this natural religion wear shoes with tips curved upwards as not to hurt the Earth. Sole with sprayed on plastic “nubs” for secure footing on slippery surfaces.
100% virgin wool. Made in Kyrgyzstan.
