Clark Ross Baby Alpaca Norwegian Pullover, Women

From the Pro-Idee Special Shop Fashion Classics

A rarity in finest baby alpaca wool.

Retro pattern from 1989. From the archives of Clark Ross, the alpaca specialist. Knitted in South America.

A Norwegian pullover from South America certainly sounds like a paradox at first – but it’s a speciality of Clark Ross. This is because the company’s design studio is headquartered in Sandefjord in Norway, whereas production is carried out directly in the wool’s country of origin.
Baby alpaca is one of the most precious fibres in the world.
The fine undercoat comes from the first shearing of the young alpaca and is diligently sorted by hand: Only fibres with a diameter of less than 19.5 microns and a length of 64 - 68mm (2.5"-2.7") meet the strict quality criteria.
As soft as cashmere yet very enduring.
Baby alpaca is amazingly resilient, resists abrasion and pilling, and hardly absorbs odours. The fibres have a natural elasticity which means that your Norwegian jumper will always keep its shape. And it is lighter than most other jumpers of this kind (approx. 180g (6.3 oz) in size 10). Sewn-on sleeves with cleverly placed pattern.

Straight cut. Length in size 10: 49cm (19.3"). Colours: Moss green, light blue, burgundy red, beige on an ecru background. 100% alpaca wool. Hand wash only.
