Baby Alpaca Cape
A rarity: Cape made from fine baby alpaca – woven, not knitted.
And with a rare alpaca fur trim.
Almost all of the delicate fleece from young alpacas is spun into luxurious knitting yarn. But it is very, very rarely found woven into a soft, fine cloth. Yet it is especially perfect for this softly flowing cape:
It is 580g (1.3 lbs) light. Unlined. And yet as warm as a winter coat.
Thanks to air pockets inside the fibres, baby alpaca wool retains the body’s heat. A 30% virgin wool content makes it durable and resistant to pilling. The weave is downy soft with a soft sheen. Opulent alpaca fur with a 7cm (2.7") high pile trims the edges.
Selected and sewn on by hand in its country of origin, Peru.
The fleecy fur seems to be naturally attached to the cape – there is no visible seam interrupting the perfect look. And because the fine hairs are so silky smooth they won’t become matted. They will always stay beautiful.
Timeless design, which will accompany you for years.
The cape can be styled in many ways: Ladylike with pencil skirt and court shoes. Classic with breeches and riding boots. Casual with jeans and boots… The pull-through belt adds shape to your silhouette. Together with the hidden sleeve snap fasteners, it ensures a perfect fit and prevents the cape from slipping.
One size fits all. Comfortable A-line with 3 wood buttons. Length: 66cm (26“). Colour: Black. 70% alpaca, 30% virgin wool. Contains non-textile parts of animal origin (alpaca fur). Dry clean.
