Enjoying cult status in Italy, but still hard to find here.
Coin cases from Il Bussetto, reflecting the best of Tuscan bag making tradition.
The young Milan company “Il Bussetto” rediscovered a classic production technique for its coin cases, quickly achieving cult status in Italy.
They use wet leather, elaborately shaped on wood.
The vegetable tanned cowhide leather is cut and soaked, then pulled across a slug and tapped into shape. As a result, there are no seams and the leather remains pliable. Finally, the surface is “sealed” with a 60-70°C hot iron to give each item an attractive gloss and protect it from marks.
This classic coin case for purists fits in your hand and is a space saver, too.
No more annoying rummaging and searching: Simply open it up and all the coins are easily accessible. The arched shape fits comfortably in your hand and in the smallest pockets.
Measures 7 x 6.5 x 2.2cm (2.7" x 2.6" x0.8") (L x W x H). 14cm (5.5") long when opened. Genuine cowhide leather.
