Clean water within seconds. Anywhere. While trekking, on long-distance journeys, in the jungle ...

Ingenious drinking bottle with 0.2µm water filter. Fits in all backpacks and pockets.

Whether you have contaminated water from a tap, lake, river or puddle: it becomes clear, clean and safe to drink when filtered with LifeStraw®. Without using chemicals and without using power or other resources.
Ultra-filtration technology – in a practical 0.64l drinking bottle.
The LifeStraw® system works with an ultra-fine 0.2µm hollow fibre membrane (instead of the often common 0.3µm and coarser). A lab report by the University of Arizona proved that not only the dirt particles and cloudy impurities are removed, but also 99.9999% of bacteria and 99.9% of protozoa (single-cell organisms) are filtered from the water*. Including Coli bacteria (E. coli), salmonella and parasites (e.g. Giardia). In the second phase, an activated carbon capsule absorbs certain chemicals (e.g. chlorine), pesticides and fertilizers.
Filters up to 1,000 litres with one cartridge.
Simply fill the bottle, screw on the lid and suck the water through the mouthpiece. Despite the extremely fine-pored material, it flows at a normal drinking speed. When no more water comes through, the micro-pores are clogged and the filter must be replaced. Replace the activated carbon filter ca. every 3 months (replacement available separately).
Light, robust and convenient to transport.
Made of food-safe, BPA-free Tritan plastic with single-handed lid and snap hook. Size 23.5 x 8cm (9.3" x 3.2") (H x diameter). Weight 186g (6.6 oz). Holds 0.64l.
With your purchase, you are supporting the drinking water supply for school children in Africa.
Every sold LifeStraw® bottle ensures clean drinking water for a school child in a developing country for one entire school year.

*Lab report of the University of Arizona of 17.05.2010, Tucson, USA.
