Hiltl Panama Flannel Trousers, Crimson

Exceptionally fine cotton flannel.

From the Pro-Idee Special Shop Fashion Classics

Exceptionally fine cotton flannel.

In a rare basket weave, finished by diamond sanding. From trousers specialist Hiltl, Germany.

Winter trousers in a conventional cotton flannel made of twill or woven gabardine are significantly coarser and more casual. Fine basket weave is usually reserved for shirts. Thanks to the generous amount of material that is used for this type of weave, it is more voluminous, stronger and more durable.
Matte, incredibly soft surface.
Rollers incorporating splinters of diamonds sand the finished weave – to a much smoother finish than by normal brushes. As a result, the trousers look chic, are wonderfully soft and pleasantly warm.
Modern classical colours give your wardrobe a smart edge.
The trend colours make a great change from sand and khaki, the colours usually used for chino trousers. And they are just as versatile: You can wear it with a blue blazer, green jumper, grey hooded jacket etc. Two slash and two buttoned piped back pockets. Finished with split waistband for easy width adjustment.

Slim flat-front style. Inseam in size 34"R: 82cm (32.3"). Leg width at hem: 36cm (14.2"). Colour: Crimson. 98% cotton, 2% elastane. Machine washable.

Peruvian Pima cotton – the “silk” of South America.

Pima cotton, the highest quality of cotton, thrives in the desert valleys of the northern coast of Peru. Pima cotton has very long fibres and a natural, fine, slightly matt sheen, similar to that of raw silk. It also feels incredibly soft against the skin. Pima Cotton is also found in other parts of the world – but it thrives best in the climatic conditions found in Peru. The cotton is still hand-picked and hand-sorted. This avoids the necessity for the chemicals which are otherwise used to open the seed capsules before mechanical harvesting. Hand picking also guarantees consistently high quality, as the pickers only harvest the best, fully ripened fibres. Yarns made from Pima cotton will not overstretch and will keep their shape for many years. Properly cared for, the colours keep their natural brilliance, and you will be able to enjoy this wonderful fabric for many years.
