The summer shoe from Mexico: Original hand-woven Huarache.

Airy, comfortable and stylish. By Cano.

The airy braided shoe has its roots in Aztec culture and has proven itself in modern times during hot summers, but the originals that are actually handmade in Mexico have become rare. German start-up Cano has revived the traditional art of braiding and has the Huarache made locally by small handicraft businesses and homeworkers, while ensuring fair wages and protecting the environment.
Leather from local farms with cattle grazing on pastures, vegetable tanned using a process that is more than 200 years old.
The complex process consists of a total of 14 steps and takes up to 28 days including air drying, depending on the weather. This gives you the certainty of wearing a shoe free from chemicals that can be worn barefoot. The flexible braiding adapts perfectly to your feet in no time. You adjust the individual width with the lacing. The padded insole is beautifully soft.

Colour: Brown. Upper, insole and outsole: Leather. Made in Mexico.
