From 1931 to 1943 the flight jacket of the US Army Air Corps. To this day enduringly fashionable.

Still made in the USA: The flight jacket A2 – the original by Schott NYC.

In contrast to the buttoned precursor A1 model, the A2, introduced in 1931, was the first US flight jacket with a zip – to protect against wind – covered by a press stud front. Other striking details of the iconic classic are the buttoned tabs on the shoulders (originally for attaching a rank insignia), the large flap pockets (which, according to tradition, were supplemented later by today’s side openings) and the stretchy knitted cuffs and hem.
A jacket for life. And suitable for year-round wear.
Made of weighty, strong and almost indestructible cowhide leather. The typical patina of high-quality natural leather makes it become even more beautiful and characterful over the years. When turned up, the woven fur collar is a warm replacement for a scarf. Just remove it in the spring. And even the cuddly faux fur lining can be detached by unzipping in a few simple steps if needed.
Schott NYC is the traditional brand for flight jackets.
The New York label founded in 1913 dressed the film rebels of the 50s and 60s, and today has a loyal fan base among Hollywood stars, and is regularly featured in major fashion magazines. The jacket is slim cut. Special pleats on either side at the back allow freedom of movement. Forearm ventilation eyelets. One inside pocket in the faux fur lining.

Slim, short blouson jacket style. Length in size 40: 66cm (26"). Colour: Dark brown. Shell: Cowhide leather. Lining: 100% polyester. Faux fur: 70% acrylic, 30% modacrylic. Specialist dry clean only. Made in the USA.
