Filson Mackinaw Hat

  • If desired, cuddly lambskin warms ears and neck.
  • The Klondike gold rush was the reason for Filson’s business success.

Warmer and more water-repellent than most functional hats.

Pure virgin wool and real lambskin. By Filson, USA.

The dense, 24-ounce heavy Mackinaw cloth has been processed at Filson in Seattle for more than 100 years. Made of pure virgin wool – warming, water-repellent and almost indestructible by nature. Back then, the hat protected gold diggers, railway workers and lumberjacks from the bitterly cold Canadian winter. Today, it protects anglers, campers or dog owners from moisture and cold. And it is appreciated by a young, trend-oriented audience all over the world.
If desired, cuddly lambskin warms ears and neck.
You wear the sewn-on flaps at the edge of the hat turned up and fixed with a cord or you wear them loose as additional winter protection. A soft, itch-free quilted lining also makes the hat comfortable for wool-sensitive men.
The Klondike gold rush was the reason for Filson’s business success.
Founded in 1897 under the name “C.C. Filson’s Pioneer Alaska Clothing and Blanket Manufacturers”, the company equipped hosts of northward-moving adventurers.

Colour: Anthracite/Brown. Virgin wool and lambskin. Quilted lining made of nylon. Made in the USA.
