It measures 45cm (17.7") from the end of the handle to the tip of the blade. The razor-sharp blade is 32cm (12.6") (!) long (instead of usually 20-23cm (7.9"-9.1"), which is too short for many loaves of bread). The weight of 380g (13.4 oz.) is optimally balanced: This unbeatable, wide and long bread knife slices as safely and accurately as a precision tool. You can even cut large, crusty loaves effortlessly and smoothly into perfectly even slices instead of crushing and crumbling them, as is the case with many traditional bread knives.
Forged from one piece of steel, ice-hardened and polished by hand.
No comparison to standard industrial grinding: The particularly deeply serrated edge makes the stainless chrome-molybdenum-vanadium steel blade extremely sharp and keeps it that way.
Ergonomic handle made of fine, Italian olive wood.
The beautifully grained, triple studded olive wood handle looks great and is extremely robust (but please do not clean in the dishwasher).
