Breathable CeraNatur® ceramic keeps your bread fresh for longer. And reduces the risk of mould.

Well-ventilated and protected from condensation, bread and pastries are optimally stored.

Much better (and nicer) than traditional bread bins, paper or plastic bags. This bowl made of unglazed CeraNatur® ceramic offers the optimum storage climate for bread and pastries. Unlike glazed clay, the open-pore ceramic allows air to circulate. Condensation is released to the environment outside of the bowl. This way, the bread does not go mouldy so easily and stays fresh for longer. The fluted inside of the base and the felt pads underneath the bowl further promote the exchange of air. As well as the elasticated cover made of 100% linen, which keeps dust and insects away.
Permanently odourless and taste-free. Easy to clean.
Crumbs are collected at the bottom of the bowl. To clean, simply use washing-up liquid and rinse. Linen cover machine washable up to 60°C.
Quality that will last decades. Handmade in Germany.
The velvety-smooth ceramic is certified* for contact with food, is extremely hard, robust and resilient against dirt. Measures 35 x 15cm (13.8" x 5.9") (diameter x H), weighs approx. 4.5kg (9.9 lbs). From the ceramic specialist Denk, with over 50 years of experience.

A clear recommendation from NDR-Ratgeber Gesundheit:
“Nutrition experts favour a bowl of unglazed ceramic or clay for storing fresh bread. The open pores of the ceramic absorb excess moisture and wick it away from the bread – but also give it back to the bread if required. This optimum moisture exchange ensures that bread stays fresh and prevents the formation of mould”. Source: https://www.ndr.de/ratgeber/So-bleibt-Brot-lange-frisch-,brot322.html, 19.03.2018
