Ice cream served in round scoops is yesterday’s news. Today, gourmets enjoy their ice cream frozen wafer-thin and curled into delicate rolls. A heavenly, refreshing delight and a big hit at Thailand’s street food stands. Now ice cream curls have become a culinary insider tip here too – and are very easy to make yourself with this ingenious cold tray.

After 24 hours in the freezer (min. -20°C), the coolant within the tray becomes frozen. The cold stored is enough for 3-6 portions (at 25°C room temperature). If desired, put fruit, grated chocolate, cookies, chopped nuts, ... on a plate and pour over the mixture of cream, condensed milk and vanilla sugar (recipe included). Now chop the hard ingredients and mix everything together with the 2 spatulas (included). Afterwards, spread thinly on the cold tray. The mixture becomes frozen within a few seconds. Now just position the spatula in the corner and push: Almost by itself, the ice cream layer curls up into airy rolls. If desired, top with cream, fruits, sauces, … – that’s all it takes!
