In professional kitchens, steam ovens (also called combi steamers) are indispensable and for good reason: They are enormously versatile and combine the roasting, grilling and baking functions of a hot-air oven with the gentle cooking of a steamer. With the compact Steam Chef you can now use the professional technology at home – for a very good price.
The hot water vapour surrounds the food with moisture, improves heat transfer and prevents dehydration.
Your food will cook more evenly and gently – even without the addition of fat if desired. Roast meat, poultry, casseroles, etc. will be a success with a juicy inside and good browning on the outside. Vitamins and nutrients are largely retained. Colour, texture and taste are all preserved. Of course, you can also use the oven and steam function independently.
