1.5 l “Filio” Teapot with Warmer

The more beautiful teapot is also the better one.

From the Pro-Idee Special Shop Cuisine

The more beautiful teapot is also the better one.

With warmer and extra large sieve insert for maximum aroma development.

There’s no comparison to conventional teapots. Due to the spacious globe of the glass bowl (with a nearly equal sized sieve insert) the jug offers the greatest space possible for aroma development. Floating freely in the water, the tea leaves are able to absorb better – and can freely dispense their fine flavour and aromas. After the desired infusion time, lift the sieve from the jug using the handle. A tight-fitting stainless steel lid and the warmer keep your tea hot.
The model for modern, stylish tea preparation for nearly 30 years.
In 1989 Tassilo von Grolman’s “Filio” kettle came to the market for the first time – and was immediately a huge success. The well-known designer thus was able to embody his credo in the most beautiful way: “Design is art that makes itself useful”.
High-quality, no-taint materials.
The bowl (diameter 17cm (6.7")) is made of borosilicate glass – heat-resistant, rugged, dishwasher safe. Drip-proof spout. 18/10 stainless steel lid, bracket and warmer: Rust-free, with a permanent lustre. The handy curved double bar handles of the lid and the cantilever frame always remain cool. The extremely fine-meshed stainless steel insert (diameter 16cm (6.3")) leaves no residue in the water of the tea. Size (H x W x D): 8.5 x 16 x 16cm (3.3" x 6.3" x 6.3"). Warmer: Diameter 19.7cm (7.8"), with indentation for a tea light (included). Weight: 1.15kg (2.5 lbs). Original by mono, made in Germany.

The aristocrat among the designers.

Tassilo von Grolman (born in Iserlohn in 1942) has a worldwide reputation. He is co-founder and honorary president of the German Designer Club (Deutsche Designer Club), sits on the jury of high-profile design committees and has been awarded a multitude of prizes. His designs feel at home at top class locations, e.g. in the Argo Tea in Chicago, the Grand Hyatt in Berlin, the Park Hyatt in Paris or the Marriott Hotel in Zurich.
