The cheese grater by Alessi: Designed by Zaha Hadid.

In characteristic sculptural form. One of the last designs from the award-winning architect.

The brilliant architect (1950-2016) was inspired by pebbles, which had been smoothed over time by water and wind. Like a shimmering stone in the riverbed, the stainless steel grater rises from the tray made of matt black melamine. No sharp angles detract from the flattering curves.
Particularly practical: The container and the pouring opening are integrated in the pebble grater.
Like water drops, the razor-sharp serrations are distributed over the surface of the grater in graduated sizes. Your Parmesan, Pecorino, Grana Padano, etc. easily slides over them. The grated cheese is collected cleanly inside the grater. Using the integrated chute, it can be added in exactly the required amount to pasta dishes, salads, carpaccio, ... No extra spoon is needed.
The softly curved tray holds cheese and grater ready for use and is an eye-catcher on the table.

Visionary of urban modernity.

Zaha Hadid from Great Britain, but of Iraqi descent, (*1950 in Bagdad, †2016 in Miami) was the first woman to receive the Pritzker Prize, in 2004, also called the “Nobel Prize” of architecture. Her often surreal looking designs include the MAXXI Museum in Rome, the Olympic Swimming Stadium in London, among others. Hadid taught at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna and was a guest professor at Yale. The Alessi cheese grater is the last item she designed for Alessi.
Cheese can be added in exactly the required amount to pasta dishes, salads, carpaccio, etc. with the pouring opening.
