A masterpiece of particular beauty, optimum blade geometry, sharpness and balance.
300 layers of hand-forged Damask steel. Stainless. Extremely hard, yet flexible. In addition, it stays sharp and it is stable.
As in the famous Samurai swords, different types of steel are forged by hand into layers to form a composite. The extremely hard core (HRC 60) guarantees the exceptionally long-lasting sharpness (conventional knives are normally HRC 52).
Ergonomic handles made of 100-year-old oak beams from Burg Castle near Solingen, Germany.
The venerable oak wood comes from the renovated keep of the castle. Naturally darkened by the aging process, extremely hard and resilient. Carefully crafted by hand into velvety smooth 12cm (4.7") long handles that sit perfectly in the hand.
