Once just for children, now for adults in teak and leather - Denmark’s legendary elephant mobile.
The classic from 1976, designed by the famous mobile family Flensted. Today in a sophisticated luxury version.
Beautiful natural wood. Best in quality and workmanship.
The elephants are made of precious, evenly-grained teak wood. 3mm (0.12") thick, the attractive wood ensures a graceful sequence of movements – without the hurly-burly of cheaper, lighter figures. Every elephant is evenly cut by laser: With the characteristic curved and stylised contours and open gaze from the round eyes. The large, brown elephant ears are made of fine, soft leather.
Each draught of air produces a new look of harmonious balance.
The three large mother elephants (each 19.5 x 15.9cm (7.7" x 6.3")) and the curious young elephant (10 x 8.4cm (3.9" x 3.3")) each have a small suspension hole in the middle. As a result, they can turn independently around their own axis. The central mobile suspension hole also allows them to form an ever-changing group image that always maintains a perfect balance. Size: 46cm (18.1") H. Movement radius: 73cm (28.7"). Weighs 198g (7 oz).
For more than 60 years, the Danish family business Flensted has been producing top-of-the-range mobiles.
Their work is world famous. The family even worked together with the Guggenheim Museum/New York and the MOMA/New York.
