Purely natural and premium class: The skins of free-roaming Highland sheep from the British Isles.

Extremely thick, with robust dense pile and XL in size. Very trendy in a living room and on a terrace.

You can find very soft sheep skins everywhere now. However, an XL sheepskin like this one is hard to find: A really natural one – rich in character, robust and tasteful. And all the while voluminous, soft and warming like few others.
In the wild, Highland sheep develop their extraordinarily thick, long fleeces throughout the year to endure any weather.
The Irish and British highlands are home to the sheep: Regions that can be extremely icy in the autumn and winter, with rough storms. In order to withstand the bleak conditions, Highland sheep grow a dense woolly coat as natural protection against the climate and to avoid injuries.
Unsurpassed rich volume.
Tightly packed, the up to 95mm long outer fibres form the voluminous pile – additionally padded by the thick fleece of the undercoat. Thanks to the heat-insulating properties of wool, body heat is retained. The sheep, with their naturally grown and warm coats, are optimally protected – even against the iciest temperatures.
Each skin is unique – undyed, unbleached, only tanned and brushed.
The brown or wool-white colour is natural. By simply brushing carefully, the loft of the pile is brought out. The natural smell of the fleece can be reduced by airing repeatedly.
Resilient pile that is comfortable to sink into. Ideal as a carpet, rug, seat cover, ...
Nestle into the fleece: It embraces you in comfort and is wonderfully warm, even on cool evenings on the terrace. Thanks to the strong structure of the fibres, the pile does not go flat easily (as is unfortunately often the case with soft coats). Give it a quick shake to fluff it up.
Only fully grown sheep reach this XL size.
Size approx. 130-135cm (51.2-53.1") L, 75-85cm (31.5-33.5") W. Weight approx. 1.5kg (53 oz). Non-slip suede side.
