Traditional Irish weaving – in new colours.

As light as a feather, soft and fluffy: The mohair blanket by Foxford Woollen Mills – since 1892.

Whether curled up cosily on the sofa, while watching TV, when chatting – or on cool evenings on the terrace: This generously sized blanket wraps you in total comfort. The high proportion of precious mohair (75%!) gives the blanket a full, downy volume while weighing very little. The extremely lightweight, fine and fluffy precious fibres also gives the silky brilliance and colour brightness. 25% wool keeps you pleasantly warm. Additionally, the loose weave structure allows air to circulate: You always have a pleasant body climate.
Trend and tradition perfectly combined.
The classic 11 x 13cm (4.3" x 5.1") colourful check is woven, instead of simply printed. The front and back are thus equally expressive. The fringed edges in matching colours at each end completes the perfect finish.
The colourful design will make you smile in every season.
From red and orange, summery shades of yellow and green to blue and violet, the colours make a bright rainbow. A palette that suits every style of living. Size: 140 x 170cm (55.1" x 67"). 75% mohair, 25% wool. Weight: Approx. 660g (23.3 oz). Dry clean only.

Foxford blankets have been handed down in Irish families for generations.

Founded by nuns in County Mayo in 1892, the mill was a blessing for the people of this once poor region in Ireland. In the 1930s and 1960s Irish schoolchildren were given durable Foxford blankets and dressing gowns which meant a boost and ultimate rescue for the traditional weaving mill.
