Once dusk descends, this solar thermometer (about 1 metre/3ft3" high) will light up automatically. This way, you can easily read the temperature in the dark – even from a distance of several metres. It won’t cost you a penny for electricity and no cables are used.

A long-lasting AA NiMH rechargeable battery (included) stores the energy from the 5 x 6cm (2" x 2.4") solar module. Eight hours of bright sunlight is sufficient. The built-in white LED has a life of min. 15,000 hours. The sensor makes sure it switches on at dusk and switches off again in daylight.

Simply screw the 60cm (23.6") large, weather resistant thermometer (diameter 6cm (2.4") on the 52cm (20.5") long ground spike. An acrylic glass column protects the measuring instrument and ensures the colours of the digits won’t fade. The wide, centrally mounted capillary gauge is an easily visible bright blue: Large digits mark in increments of 10 the 1-degree pitch of the scale from -30°C to +50°C, accurate to ± 1°C.
