Exquisite contents: The Pininfarina Ethergraf® pencil worth £85
A pencil that never needs to be sharpened, that never goes blunt? Almost. The secret of the “eternal” walnut pencil hidden inside the box is its Ethergraf® metal tip. It oxidises when it comes into contact with paper, but does not leave any marks on clothing or in your pocket. The historical model for this special tip was the silver pencil – a popular drawing instrument used by da Vinci and contemporaries such as van Eyck, Holbein and Dürer.
