Unchanged in value, but with a fashionable update: the trench coat classic from the purveyor to the British royal family.
Contemporary cut. Exclusive lining with artist print. By DAKS, London.
True classics hold their value – even if they change with the zeitgeist. The best example is the trench coat by DAKS. For more than 120 years, the brand has stood for British elegance and exquisite quality – and today for the new British heritage chic. DAKS hits the current trend with this carefully modernised new edition:
Slim cut. Reduced details. Modern midi length. Lightweight cotton blend.
Single instead of double breasted and made from a supple cotton blend, the lightweight trench coat is slim even when worn open. It is contemporary and clean due to forgoing the back yoke. The shoulder tabs, adjustable bar on the sleeves, the waist belt and buttoned walking slit are details that recall its military origin.
The lining is an homage to the famous illustrator Max Hoff.
For around 25 years – from 1936 to the early 1960s – the fashion illustrations of the Vienna-born artist characterised the advertising of DAKS. This beautiful collage arose from archive material with fashionable impressions of the 50s and 60s.
Slim 1-row shape with buttoned pockets. Length in size 12: 95cm (37.4″). Colour: Pebble. 98% cotton, 2% elastane. Lining 100% polyester. Dry clean.
