Knitted instead of woven: Airier, more summery and remarkably stylish.
The warm weather hat by traditional British maker Kangol®, established 1938.
These kinds of hats are usually made from densely woven fabric. This one on the other hand is knitted, but it’s so closely and evenly constructed that you won’t recognise it as such at first glance. The knitted stitches allow for thousands of small ventilation holes that allow in fresh air to keep your head cool.
Lightweight, crushable and breathable. Made of tear-resistant hemp fibre and cotton.
Hemp has been used for thousands of years for the production of fabrics because its fibres are extremely hardwearing. Hat makers consider them to be even more durable and tear-resistant than Panama straw. The reinforced brim provides shade for your eyes.
