30-Gauge Beanie, Long Gloves or Doubled Shawl
You’ll hardly find finer knit accessories.
30-gauge merino fine knit. No bothersome seams. By John Smedley.
Cuddly knit accessories are often thick and bulky. These are not only soft and warm, but also exceptionally thin and fine. Just perfect too for in-between seasons, to stow in your handbag or jacket pocket, your travel bag…
30-gauge: The finest knitting process in the world.
John Smedley is one of the few knitters in the world proficient in the complicated process of using 30 needles per inch. Knitting at a fineness exceeding 30-gauge is technically impossible. Plus the knitting yarn must be just as fine: Precious extra fine New Zealand merino wool.
Wide stripes in bright fuchsia combined with a subtle grey and warm blackberry.
The shawl is a generous size measuring 26 x 194cm (10 1⁄5" x 6ft3"). It is double layered so the edges won’t roll up.
The beanie fits snugly and has a stretchy ribbed edge. It only weighs 30g (1 oz) so you will barely feel it on your head.
The finger gloves keep you exceptionally warm thanks to the extra long (23cm/9") cuffs. The fitted knit does away with seams and fits like a second skin. 100% virgin wool. Machine wash at 40°C in delicate cycle. Made in England.
