For more than 100 years, the reefer jacket has been the uniform jacket of the navy. And this robust and comfortable jacket is as versatile as the number of names by which it is known all over the world: “Peacoat” in America, “Gaban” in Spain and “Caban” in France where it was created in approx. 1850, at the time of Napoleon III. Even today, the jacket still serves as an example for all renowned designers. Yet you can wear the prized original from Brittany.
Traditionally made of pure wool.
The high-closing, double-breasted, buttoned jacket offers excellent protection from the cold and wind. The comfortable soft fabric and the spacious sleeves offer first-class wearing comfort. The wide turn-up collar protects you from cold winds. Two zipped inside pockets. Typical: The anchor buttons are made of durable blackened metal.
