Winterproof. Triple trendy. And even pleasantly affordable.
Suede, Chelsea fit and a rubber sole make these boots very modern. By Bobbies.
In the 1960s, London hipsters introduced the shoe of Victorian origin to the fashion scene. Now, Chelsea boots are highly trendy again – carefully adapted to modern times with soft suede and a flexible rubber sole. The designs seen on the catwalks of the Fashion Weeks are priced starting at about £450 or more. These ones from young Parisian label Bobbies, are less than half the price.
Designed in France. Handmade in Portugal.
The Bobbies designer duo Antoine Bolze and Alexis Maugey rely on Portuguese production knowhow and commissioned a small manufactory in the shoemaker’s capital São João da Madeira to make them. The legendary Chelsea fit warms right to the ankle. The shaft has a perfect fit thanks to stretch inserts. The rubber sole insulates against cold from the ground and is non-slip. The distinctive pull-on loop facilitates putting on.
