Warm and wind & water repellent: The knitted outdoor cardigan.

With quilted lining and wind-stop properties. By Alan Paine, England.

Wearing cardigans outdoors is usually limited to mild summer evenings. However, this jacket defies the temperamental weather of spring and autumn with its quilted padded lining. The addition of one fifth of polyamide increases the robustness of the wool and helps repel moisture.
From the English Explorer Collection by Alan Paine.
Inspiration for a knit suitable for outdoor wear came from George Mallory, legendary British mountaineer of the 1920s and one of the first customers of the traditional company founded in 1907.
Casual field jacket style with four large flap pockets.
Lots of storage space for wallet, keys, glasses etc. (secured by press studs). For warm hands, the two lower pockets have additional lateral openings. High-closing stand-up collar. Snug-fitting, elasticated rib-knit cuffs.

Straight style. Length in size 42: 72cm (28.3''). Colour: Mottled grey. 80% wool, 20% polyamide. Machine washable.
