By Aigle, one of the most famous French manufacturers, who have been making top quality Wellington boots for over a hundred years. They bear no comparison to most Wellington boots, which are usually simply die-cast from plastic. These boots, in genuine natural rubber, are hand-made on a last, section by section and layer by layer, then carefully glued and vulcanised. This is why they fit so well and why they last so long.
Clean again in a trice.
The Wellingtons have a sole with self-cleaning tread. Just stamp firmly once and they are clean. Pleasantly shortened shaft for comfort even if you move around a lot. The fine jersey lining prevents the inside of the boot from becoming clammy or cold. (The ladies’ boots are a little generous, so if in doubt, please choose the next smaller shoe size). Genuine natural rubber. Jersey lining: 100% cotton. Colour: Earth brown.
Caring for natural rubber.
Natural rubber is hardwearing and robust. Like many natural materials, however, its appearance changes over time. It may acquire a light coating, but this does not mean it is damaged. Swipol®, the spray cleaner recommended by Aigle, protects, cleans and preserves the boots. Simply spray on and wipe dry with a cloth – done. Regular care with Swipol® also keeps the natural rubber particularly soft and pliable.
