The legendary Nehru shirt by Patrick Hollington, Paris.
Paris-based Irish designer Patric Hollington has been designing stand-up collar shirts for more than 40 years. In homage to Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of modern India, he gave them the name “Nehru”. Hollington’s only nod to innovation is the material used:
Denim – woven as grainy, cool fine canvas: Ideal for the summer.
Much lighter and airier than the dense twill of conventional denim, it’s skin-friendly, soft and cuddly.
A Hollington must: Two pockets!
As a self-confessed “pocket fan” Patric Hollington has provided the shirt with two practical breast pockets. The half-length button facing matches perfectly with the stand-up collar. Pleats at the back. Rounded two-button cuffs.
Casual straight falling style. Length in collar size 16"/16.5": 76cm (29.9"), sleeve length: 65.5cm (25.8"). 100% cotton. Machine washable.
