Instead of the usual decorative seams, flap pockets and metal buttons found on conventional denim jackets, this has the clean-cut, simple look of classic Harrington jackets. The striking, straight cut with zip fastener, short turn-down collar and two pockets has its origins in Manchester in the 1930s. However, its name and fashionable cult status were attributed to it later by Rodney Harrington, the protagonist of the successful 1960s television series “Peyton Place”.
