The diamond relief enlarges the heat-emitting surface and reduces stress during heating. At the same time, the high-low structure reduces the contact surface area of the food. This way, the food doesn’t stick to the pan even though the pan doesn’t have a non-stick coating. Plus, steam can escape through the recesses, preventing leaking liquid from affecting the frying process.

Forging (instead of rolling) avoids common air and gas inclusions; the outstanding conductivity of the iron is thus optimized once again.
Natural non-stick protection instead of a delicate coating.
Before first use, simply heat your iron pan with fat, salt and potato peelings (instructions included). The resulting patina acts as a natural non-stick coating which improves over time. As a result, you’ll need less fat, you can safely use metal implements and no non-stick plastic from the coating can get into your food. To clean, simply rinse with hot water and grease with some cooking oil to prevent rusting.
Suitable for all hob types incl. induction. You can even use the iron pan on a BBQ grill or an open fire.
