Sommelier Corkscrew “Parrot”
The preferred tool of professional sommeliers – turned into a piece of art by Alessi.
The Parrot by Alessandro Mendini and Annalisa Margarini.
With its powerful beak, bold crown and softly rounded body, the Parrot looks like a wonderful little sculpture and is an eye-catching addition to any table. Available with either brightly hand-painted plumage or in classic black.
Convenient, compact and easy to use.
The 7.5cm (3") long, tightly winding, ridged corkscrew effortlessly drills into the cork and holds it tight without causing it to crumble. Thanks to the non-stick coating, it even glides smoothly like a knife through butter through tricky older corks, as well as those made of silicone. The curved, asymmetric extended lever sits comfortably in the hand and saves you time and effort when extracting a cork. With one quick movement, the powerful beak easily opens the capsule on your bottle of water. All metal parts are made of shiny, rustproof cast aluminium. Main section made from polycarbonate, exceptionally hardwearing, with a non-slip grip and capsule cutter. Measures approx. 13.5 x 3 x 3cm (5 1⁄3" x 1 1⁄5" x 1 1⁄5") (L x W x H). Weighs 83.5g (3 oz). Made by Alessi, licensed by Pulltaps.
