Villeroy & Boch Table Lamp
Three trends in one: XXL light bulb in retro style, metallic colours and a geometric shape.
The cube light of the 60s, in an authentic style with ceramic base by Villeroy & Boch.
In the 1960s, fashion freed itself from the restrained knee-covering skirt – and the traditional design of the common lampshade. This retro style is a popular trend again. The table lamp appears to be reduced to only the XXL light bulb (12.5cm /4.9″ diameter). The socket sits flush and is invisible in the ceramic cube by Villeroy & Boch: Socket and light bulb form a perfect unity.
The latest, most energy-saving LED light technology with the warm light of old-type light bulbs.
What look like quaint coiled filaments in the bulb-shaped housing, are in fact ultra modern LED filaments. However, instead of a cold light, both the gold-coloured and the clear light bulbs emit a particularly attractive light (with 1,800 in the gold, or 2,100 Kelvin in the clear they are even warmer than the 2,700 Kelvin of old-type light bulbs): Bright, but cosily warm. Additionally, the LED filaments use only 3.8W (gold) or 2.3W (clear) and have a lifespan of 15,000h.
