The ”pencil“ for life. It never needs to be sharpened and won’t wear down.
Ethergraf® alloy from Napkin/Italy. Developed by Pininfarina, the design firm from Ferrari.
The secret of this "eternal" pencil is the Ethergraf® metallic alloy: The writing tip oxidises the paper, but won’t leave a trace on clothing or in your bag. The accurate line produced has a striking resemblance to the line of a hard pencil.
Leonardo da Vinci also used the physical principle of oxidation.
The historical precedent of this particular pencil was the silver point pencil – a popular drawing tool used by da Vinci and his contemporaries such as van Eyck, Holbein and Dürer. Developed in collaboration with several Italian universities, the alloy is currently produced by experienced goldsmiths.
Elegant, aerodynamic shape, inspired by Pininfarina’s concept car "Cambiano".
The spirit of the renowned Italian design company is also reflected in the fine walnut box, which serves both as stylish packaging and practical pen holder.
Size: 16.5cm (6 1/2") long, weight 55g (2 oz). The included walnut box measures 19.5 x 5 x 2.7cm (7 2/3" x 2" x 1") (W x D x H), weight 222g (7.8 oz).
