Dragonfly Balance Object
Just a breath of wind will trigger the dance of the graceful metal dragonflies.
Danish stainless-steel design showcasing perfect balance and an almost meditative serenity.
The delicate dragonflies turn and lean with their own rhythm and movement as though on a balmy summer evening over a pond. Canes made of walnut wood and of differing heights, almost invisible at dusk, make the dragonflies hover weightlessly. An ever-new, fascinating choreography.
A tiny mount gives the silently oscillating dragonflies a stable hold.
The only contact is the millimetre-thin cane: An art in itself to balance the dragonflies so subtly. The mobile has a very elegant effect – far removed from any nursery look. No screws ruin your ceiling; no nylon threads to disrupt the inspired appearance.
Elaborately made of stainless steel. Plated with a golden shimmer.
The delicately-veined openwork pattern is created using the finest etching technique. Finally, the 0.3mm (0.01") thin 304 stainless steel is electroplated: The golden colour comes from brass. A particularly elegant combination: Stylish as fine jewellery.
Can be displayed in various ways: Individually or in groups of three.
Both are possible thanks to the three-part base made of black rubber-coated 430 stainless steel. Size of the dragonflies (each L x W): Approx. 20 x 19cm (7.9" x 7.5"), 15 x 15cm (5.9" x 5.9") and 10.5 x 10.5cm (4.1" x 4.1"). Wooden canes (L): 31cm (12.2"), 24cm (9.4") and 17cm (6.7"). Base (L x W x H): 4 x 7 x 2.6cm (1.6" x 2.8" x 6.7"). Weight as a whole: Approx. 0.65kg (22.9 oz). Design: Torben Kragh Jorgensen.
