Trend material cork – now finally available on a bench.

Unique, stylish, sturdy. Provides a cosy natural character.

Cork has long been valued as an environmentally friendly natural product – especially for its excellent insulating properties. Now, innovative designers have rediscovered the striking, eco-friendly resource as the perfect material for furniture, particularly for seats.
Natural attributes ideally suited to exceptional seating comfort.
As protection, the cork oak (Quercus suber) develops a hard foam-like cork layer between the wood and the bark. This layer is highly elastic and water-repellent, scratch-resistant and difficult to ignite. Due to the low thermal conductivity, you will always enjoy a comfortable sitting experience.
With rounded edges for additional comfort.
Single-layer pressed cork is used for the 3cm (1.2") thick seat. The panels are made to fit precisely in one piece using highly compressed cork granules. This way, there are no joins to detract from the overall look. A 2cm (0.8") thick panel made of beech plywood is used to reinforce the seat.
White lacquered metal reinforcements give the beechwood legs optimum stability.
Although slim, the bench has a high load capacity, and the reinforcements add a fresh accent to the sleek design.
Versatile and easily combinable.
The distinctive shape and the warm, bright natural material go with any interior style. Thanks to its convenient size and low weight, you can easily and quickly place the bench anywhere in the house. Size 90 x 30 x 45cm (35.4" x 11.8" x 17.7") (L x W x H). Weight 7kg (15.4 lbs). Carries up to 160kg (352.7 lbs). Made in Europe.

A precious natural product – and good for the environment.

Cork oak trees are the only trees in the world that can be debarked with a living trunk without them dying. The removal of the cork even has a rejuvenating effect: The cork bark grows back to become even thicker. The tree becomes stronger and can absorb up 5 times as much CO2 compared to other trees.
