Baby alpaca is from the alpaca’s very first shearing so it is still softer and even rarer than regular alpaca wool. The fine hairs of the young animals are especially delicate and downy soft. (Comparable to the extremely fine undercoat of Mongolian cashmere goats). This lavish yarn is made from diligently hand selected fibres: Only fibres with a diameter less than 19.5 microns and a length of 64-68mm (2 1⁄2"-2 2⁄3") are suitable for a jumper that is this soft and hardwearing at the same time.
Virtually resistant to wear and pilling.
Hardly absorbs odours.
Thanks to the natural elasticity of the fibres, your Norwegian jumper will stay in shape. And it is lighter than most of its kind (approx. 450g/ 16 oz in size 12/14).
The colours are exceptionally fresh:
Bright orange with pink ice crystals and creamy white snowflakes – great to beat winter blues. Adds a wonderful splash of colour to jeans, chinos, and cargos. The flattering high neck collar keeps you cosy warm like a polo neck, but is never unpleasantly tight. Raglan sleeves. Ribbed cuffs. Length in size 12/14: 66cm (26"). 100% alpaca. Machine wash in the cold wool cycle.
