This sturdy pineapple slicer is a cut above the usual plastic versions. Made of 18/10 stainless steel, it is hygienic, tough and durable.

Cut off the tip of the pineapple and position the cutter in top centre. Then turn the handle clockwise, lift the cutter out of the pineapple, done. You have a cleanly cut spiral, without the hard core. The delicious juice remains in the fruit. The shell stays intact and can be used as a decorative serving bowl for tropical cocktails and fruit salad.

This device must rank as one of the finest kitchen aids I've ever used. If you can operate a decent corkscrew, you can surely use one of these gadgets. To borrow the words of a very old song " Give it a twist with a flick of the wrist - that's what the showman said". No sharp blades and child's play to dismantle and clean with non-rust stainless steel cutter and removable strong plastic handle. This will last and last. It represents an excellent investment for a pineapple loving household. A definite "buy now" recommendation.
