Seven-folded is the most exclusive und finest form of tie-making (and therefore too expensive for most suppliers). At any rate only very few tie manufacturers in the world master this art: The necktie is made of heavy expensive silk jacquard both on the inside and outside. Folding it 7 times (a regular tie is only folded 3 times) produces a soft volume which cannot be achieved with any other interlining, now matter how good the quality.
