Rare, super fine cobweb knit with fluffy mohair.
This cardigan is as light as a feather but is still a versatile essential for chilly evenings. The structure of the knit is loose and sheer making it airy and not too warm even for summer.
The yarn is so fine – yet still knit into a fully-fashioned piece.
The shape is made on traditional hand knitting machines. The distinguished Irish knitter Carbery is indeed the only one to master the technique of such delicate knitting. No wonder he calls it “Cobweb”. The change from a looser to a tighter knit produces an interesting block stripe pattern. The fabulous mix of fluffy mohair, wool and durable polyamide is soft and cuddly and doesn’t scratch. Casual, straight shape with V-neck, elasticated ribbed cuffs and borders. With 5 genuine mother-of-pearl buttons. Length in size 12: 59cm (23 1⁄5"). Made of 65% mohair, 30% polyamide (nylon®) and 5% wool. Hand wash. Made in Ireland. Exclusive to Fashion Classics.
