The Italian spinning mill of Pinori Filati in Prato loves to experiment and has breathed new life into old jeans. The result is this unusual knitted cardigan made from recycled jeans which have been woven into a new yarn. It gets its characteristic light-blue mix from the blue warp yarn and white weft yarn. A shade that cannot be achieved with dye. The yarn is slightly grainy, firm with a nice grip and very, very robust. It still has its original faded colour and hasn’t been re-dyed or bleached again – which makes it really great for sensitive skin.
Dense stitches and firm cuffs make this cardigan suitable for outdoors.
It is warmer and more windproof than most other knitted cardigans. Almost like a denim jacket – but much more comfortable. Casual straight cut with stand-up collar. Length in size 40: 70cm (27 1⁄2"). 100% cotton. Hand wash. Exclusive to Fashion Classics.
