Ludwig Schröder from Uetersen in Schleswig-Holstein is one of the few German manufactories to still make belts in a traditional artisan way. And this for more than 185 years.
Thanks to its elegant structure, the Saffian finish makes the leather fit for emperors and kings.
The interesting, fine-grained finish is named after the Moroccan city of Safi. Formerly reserved for the footwear of nobility and the binding of precious books, it is now the trendy design for elegant accessories.
The buckle is handmade in Italy.
It doesn’t tarnish. And has a more discreet and masculine appearance than the typical silver or shiny gold buckles. With a solid brass core, galvanized in bronze colour.
It’s 3.4cm (1 2/3") wide, with rounded, cleanly polished edges. Calf leather with a cowhide lining. Exclusive to Fashion Classics.
