Made from precious 18kt gold. Largely made by hand.
Around 170 square-shaped gold elements are applied to a flat 18 carat gold weave – and then compressed using several tonnes of pressure. This permanently bonds the woven core and the threaded-on gold elements. The result is an apparently continuous choker with a close, flexible fit thanks to millimetre-fine elements that interlock with each other – irrespective of which colour of gold you wish to wear on the outside.
Appears heavy and solid. But weighs a pleasantly light 20g (0.7 oz).
Comparable necklaces usually weigh more than 30g (1 oz) – and are often much more expensive.
About 42cm (16 1⁄2") long, 6mm wide. Safely closes with a lobster clasp fastener which is soldered to the necklace. Polished to a gleaming shine and just as elegant during the day as it is with evening attire.
