"Eclipse" Designer Lamp

Famous classic design from 1982. Offers a fantastic range of lighting effects.

Part of the permanent MOMA/New York collection since 2006. By Mauricio Klabin.
The “Eclipse” lamp by the Brazilian designer Mauricio Klabin is a cult classic. It can be reshaped time and again and adjusted to meet your individual lighting requirements. Like a sculpture which always maintains its character but is also able to take on a range of expressions. And all this at a surprisingly good price.
Light, wherever and however much you want.
The incredible versatility is the result of a single, elaborately shaped band of plastic. Fan out the 40 movable fins and shape the milky-white lampshade as you please. “Shape” it like a “Nautilus”, for example. And you can vary the light intensity: From softly muted indirect light all the way to a clearly directed bright light.
An eye-catcher on your sideboard, a smart side table, on the floor beside the sofa or chair, etc.
Set up, it measures approx. 36.5 x 32 x 36cm (14 2⁄5" x 12 2⁄3" x 14") (L x W x H). Weight ca. 1kg (2.2 lbs). Can be folded down to a space-saving height of 3cm (1 1⁄5"). 180cm (5ft9”) power cord with rocker switch for
220V/max. 60W E27. Bulb separately available.
