Technology that detects tornados.
Measurements are carried out by the same radar technique used for early-warning systems to detect approaching storms. Or to locate ships, aircraft and cars. Just like the speed detectors used by the police force, your radar speedometer uses microwaves emitted by the built-in signal processor. The device converts the “echo” reflected from the ground into a speed indicator.
Perfect for a variety of sports.
Your radar speedometer has settings for various types of sport – you can select from 4 different speeds: Walking, jogging, inline skating, or high speed. The
latter setting measures speeds of up to 100kmh/62mph (for cycling, horseback riding, skiing…). The waves bounce back from every type of surface, including rough mountain terrain. Mirrored, reflecting surfaces should be avoided.
Accurate to ±1 %. Exact to the nearest decimal.
The display shows you your current, average and maximum speeds. Alternatively it displays your daily mileage, total mileage, the time of day, your training time, or “minutes per km or mile” (interesting for joggers). At the press of a button it even switches automatically between the different displays.
Tested on sled-dog races in Alaska.
Splash resistant. The speedometer easily fixes to your waistband with a clip or in its protective bag. Includes a battery (for about 50 operating hours) and charge indicator.
Measures 5 x 5.5 x 4cm (2" x 2 1⁄3" x 1 2⁄3") (W x H x D), weighs approx. 65g (2.3 oz).

Simply use the clip to fix it to your belt. Not even a jacket worn over the radar speedometer will stop it from functioning.
