At a distance of 1,000m (ca. 1,094 yds) and with a 5x magnification your field of vision is 96m (315ft) wide. At 15x you can still see a width of 56m (184ft). Different to conventional monoculars you’ll still get an 8x magnification as close up as 30cm (12"). So you can study the deer at the edge of the forest and with a small turn (less than 360°) focus on the butterfly on the flower blossom.
